Sunlit FoldBarbershop Book a chair

Cuts, beards & hot towel shaves

A slow chair in a bright room.

Two chairs, wide windows and enough time to get the shape right. We talk it through first, cut dry where it matters, and send you out with a finish you can repeat at home on a Tuesday morning.

Walk-ins welcome when a chair is free — booked requests always come first, so mornings mid-week are your best bet.

Services & prices

Plain prices, no upsell at the mirror.

Every service starts with a short consultation and ends with a rinse, a dry and a tidy neckline. Prices are a starting point — longer or denser hair simply takes more time, and we say so before the clippers come out.

  • The Full Cut

    from $42

Scissor work through the top, clipper or scissor sides, washed and styled. The default for most heads.

    45 minutes

  • Skin Fade

    from $46

A clean gradient taken down to the skin, blended slowly so the line still looks right in week three.

    50 minutes

  • Tidy-Up Trim

    from $24

Between-cuts maintenance: neckline, ears and a light reshape to hold your last cut together.

    20 minutes

  • Beard Shape & Line

    from $28

Length set with clippers or shears, cheek and neck lines drawn by razor, finished with a light oil.

    30 minutes

  • Hot Towel Shave

    from $40

Two hot towels, a brush lather, a straight razor pass with the grain and a cool balm to close.

    40 minutes

  • First Cut

    from $26

For under-tens. Quiet music, a booster seat and a barber who explains each step before it happens.

    30 minutes

Cut and beard together saves you ten minutes and $6 — ask for the pair when you send your request.

The craft

We would rather ask twice than cut once.

Sunlit Fold started with one mirror, a tile floor and a rule we still keep: nobody leaves the chair unsure of how to wear it tomorrow. The room stays small on purpose, so the pace belongs to whoever is sitting down.

  • Consultation first

Dry hair, a hand in it, and a short conversation about how it grows and how much effort you actually want to spend each morning.

  • Finished, not just cut

Lines checked with a mirror in your hand, neck shaved clean, and a two-minute styling walkthrough with whatever you already own.

  • Kind products

Low-shine clays, a light sea-salt spray and unscented balms for skin that reacts. Nothing applied without telling you first.

Fresh work

The room you will be sitting in.

Two chairs, one long mirror and a counter that gets wiped down between every client. Here is the shop on an ordinary afternoon.

Good to know

Small print, kept short.

Can I just walk in?
Yes, whenever a chair is free — but requested times are served first. Mid-week mornings are usually open; Friday evening and Saturday rarely are.
How do I move or cancel a time?
Reply to the confirmation email and we will shift it. A day's notice means the chair can go to someone else, which is all we ask.
Do you cut children's hair?
We do, from about four years old. Book the First Cut and tell us if it is their first time in a barber's chair so we can slow things down.
What goes on my skin during a shave?
Hot towels, a brush-lathered soap and an unscented balm by default. Mention allergies in your request and we will set out alternatives before you sit.

Tell us what you want cut.

Send the service and a rough window. We reply with a time that fits, or the two nearest options if that window is already full — nothing is held until you hear back from us.

We answer in the order requests arrive. Your time is confirmed only once we reply.
